Through this new offering, we hope to gather in community with one another to tell our stories*, share support, and gain deeper understanding on our individual journeys. Whether you are freshly postpartum or whether it’s been decades since your difficult birth, you are welcome here.
*No one is required to share their story. Your story belongs to you and you are in charge of what and how much you share, always 💓
We are of the mind + heart that every** birth holds medicine for ourselves and our babies, medicine and gifts as distinctive as a fingerprint, as unique as we each are.
And—only the birthing person themselves can decide or intuit what that medicine might be, and it may take a lifetime (or longer!) to fully digest + integrate its meaning.
Wherever you are on that spiral journey, we are here for you. Whether you had a “dream birth” on the outside and felt shattered on the inside, had an unexpected transport/emergency/outcome, experienced obstetric violence, or any other variation of challenging circumstance, we welcome you to sit in circle, where we will all witness what wants to arise.
**We acknowledge that many folks who experience abuse or trauma reject the idea of finding medicine, gifts, or meaning-making in the subsequent journey. This is incredibly valid, and often a very important aspect of integration. We hold space for where you are, right now in this moment.
